Our Christmas Tree Adventure

This past weekend, we continued our family tradition of going to a local tree farm to cut down our own Christmas tree. As you can see, we brought the entire family, including 12 day-old Lexi who slept through the entire ordeal. (Don't worry, we kept her all bundled up and I didn't let anyone so much as breathe on her.) Cameron thought we had taken him on his own personal adventure. He had such a great time running around that finding the "perfect" tree was a little bit of a challenge. In the end we settled on a nice 11+ foot tree with only a couple of bald spots (discovered after we got home.) Cameron LOVES having a tree inside our house... I wish you could have seen his face when Jon carried it through the door! He was such a good helper when it came to decorating the tree, although he seems to think that the ornaments look better scattered around the house than they do on the branches. ;) What are 2-year-olds for if not to decorate the entire house with what started on the tree? He's just teaching the tree to share. ;)

Good-bye fancy ornaments! That sounds like quite an adventure. I can't believe you fit an 11 foot tree in your house! I bet it smells wonderful. What a fun family tradition. Good luck finding all the ornaments . . .

No real tree for me. We bought a nice artifical tree this year. I miss the smell of the real tree.
I am hoping we will have some snow for Christmas. That is a really nice picture of you and Alexia. The outing for the Christmas tree was a really good time for Cameron, he looks so happy. You are a wonderful family. Love,

That sounds like so much fun! Josh thinks it frivolous to buy a christmas tree every year (right now at least-I have extracted a promise that once we are settled we will get a real tree). I am glad you all had fun and that Cameron had so much fun helping!

I am sending you another ornament for Cameron to put up on the tree. That is great that he had a good time with the christmas tree. I haven't had a chance yet to put up ours. We went last night and saw the lights. On post there is a road that is two miles of just christmas lights. Abby just loved it.
