Bike Trip to the Lake

We took a family bike trip down to the lake on Friday to cool off. Enough of the heat wave already, this is New Hampshire... It's not supposed to hit 95 until July! The lake was very refreshing and Cameron really enjoyed the playground. We only had one minor mishap - I crashed my bike on the way home. Let's just say that loosing a chain does not mix well with the hills around our house. :) Jon spent the next hour or so picking gravel out of my arm. Fun, fun. I think I'll wait until AFTER the baby is born before I get anywhere near that bike again! Cameron absolutely loves his bike trailer though and he and Jon take trips to the lake often. Lucky for Cameron, Jon is a much more skilled rider than I am! :)

New Haircut

Jon brought Cameron into town on Monday for his first "Real" haircut. He's looking more and more like Jon every day... what I want to know is: What happened to my baby? He looks like such a little boy now. They grow up too fast!

Happy Birthday Jon!

Jon turned the ripe old age of 27 today... I think Cameron had more fun than Jon did! It was so much fun to watch him help Jon blow out the candles and feed himself ice cream cake. He said Mmmm with every bite. He really only got four bites in before mean mommy took the rest away. That was a little too much sugar right before bed. :) Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Wicked Good Lobstah's!

It's taken me a little while to get these pictures up, but on our way home from Maine last week we took a detour and bought a few (16) lobsters. :) We didn't originally intend to by so many, but since we had to go so far (3 hours) out of our way, we thought we'd make it worth it! (Who would have thought so many tourist traps would be closed on Memorial day?) I must say though, they tasted delicious! Some of the meat is frozen - not even we could eat 16 lobsters all at once, but I doubt it will stay in the freezer for very long! :) Mmmm!

Our Trip to Maine

Although the purpose of our trip was to say goodbye to a dear friend of ours, Donnie Small, and to visit with his family a little bit, Cameron still managed to sneak in a few moments of fun. He "convinced" Mammie and Uncle Aaron to give him rides on the new lawn mower... then refused to let them help him steer. Uncle Aaron played ball with him and gave Cameron "airplane" rides for hours. What a trooper! Cameron wouldn't let him go when it was time to leave. He sure loves his Uncle Aaron. He had fun with his Aunt Amanda too - running through the fields and picking flowers. She even rescued him from my parent's garden... let's just say dirt looks better than it tastes! :) We will miss Donnie a lot and we are grateful for the time that we had with him. He was an amazing man and life won't be quite the same without him. We look forward to seeing him again someday. Our prayers are with his family.

A Family Hike

We decided to go for a family hike up Pitcher Mountain this past weekend. It was a beautiful day and with the breeze at the top, there weren't even that many bugs! Cameron got right into it - it looks like we've got a little rock-climber on our hands!

Now That's a Tonka!

Grammie and Grandpa Blouin bought a dump truck for all their grandchildren to share at their house in Vermont. It's at our house right now for safe-keeping and Cameron just loves it! He'll be able to show them how to use it when they come to pick it up, but I think he'll be sad to see it go. :)
