Playing Outside

I thought I would post a couple more fun pictures of our relaxing family day at home. They happen too rarely! I bet you can't figure out which picture was taken before luch and which was taken just after! :) FYI: We did wash his face before he went down for his nap!

Adventures with Dad

Yesterday we went for a family hike around Hidden Lake (which is really just a large pond) a short distance from our house. We discovered a large turtle hanging out by the drainage pipe and Jon decided to show Cameron the correct way to catch a large turtle. Watching him wrestle with it was actually a little scary... it's hard to tell in the pictures but that turtle had very long sharp claws and kept snapping at him. Cameron was completely mesmerized and didn't know quite what to think about the whole situation. I don't think we're going to let Cameron go swimming in there any time soon!

Mammie's Visit

We apologize for the delay in posting... things have been a little hectic this past week. The week before last, Mammie was up visiting for a week and spoiled Cameron rotten! She took him for wagon rides to the lake and bought him a bubble-blowing lawn-mower. He absolutely LOVES it! He "mows" everything, including the driveway and the road. Cameron was not the only one who got spoiled during her visit - she made all our favorite foods and gave Jon the time he needed to get A's on both of his finals! Thanks a ton!

Special Visitors

This past weekend Nana, Pop-pop and Cameron Marie (Cameron's second cousin) came up for a visit. We went to Charmingfare farm, which is a zoo/farm, and got to see lots of fun animals. Cameron Marie carried Cameron around all day, pointed out all the animals and protected him from the energetic goats. He weighs almost half as much as she does, but she kept asking to carry him... she was a huge help and Cameron just loved having her here! Pop-pop braved feeding a swan by hand - they aren't as friendly as they look :) We had a great time and can't wait for them to come visit again!

Mud Season is Officially Here!

Cameron was having so much fun stomping through puddles in his dragon galoshes that he didn't notice he was wearing his hat and sunglasses. This picture was taken before Jon started splashing with him... let's just say it's a good thing that mud washes out! :)

When Mom's Away...

I left the boys to fend for themselves for a few days last week while I was in New York City attending some continuing education classes. Dad decided to give Cameron a little education of his own and taught him the correct way to eat an Oreo cookie. I think Cameron's class may have been more fun! :)

More Ketchup Please!

We have found one way to get Cameron to eat almost anything... Let him dip it in ketchup. He ate everything we gave him and then licked his plate clean. (Hence the ketchup on his nose.) What you see there is actually seconds - a first for Cameron. Jon thinks he gets his love of ketchup from his Aunt Jessica... he said she used to put it on everything when she was younger. :)
